Does what it was made to do August 26, 2008 E. Mohr (Westminster, MD) What can I say, it does what it was made to do, and it was easy to use. It made putting my women's bike on our bike rack much easier and more secure. Just be careful that the bar doesn't pinch your hand when putting it on/taking it off!
Great Device for Mountain Bikes August 23, 2008 Cilantro13 This device works great for mountain bikes. I have hydraulic brake cables on my Giant Trance 1 that I didn't want resting on the bike rack. Use of this devices ensure clearance of all the cables from contact with the rack. It is secure in the sense that the spring is really stiff (sometimes it is hard to get off without pinching my hand). This is good for feeling like the device is not going to come off the bike. Also, a strap is provided that would prevent the front of the device from disengaging the headset. This device is great for bikes with odd shaped geometry. It keeps the bike level on the rack and protects hardware from banging against the bike rack or car.
Great tension bar August 10, 2008 Evelyn D. Kinnard (Dexter, MI) Allen Tension Bar Bicycle Cross-Bar Adaptor Does a great job of adapting my bike for my car trunk bike rack. Easy to put on and take off. Made of quality materials. Great price also.
Tension Bar August 8, 2008 mbaxcel (westminster, md United States) I bought 2 of these, for my girls bikes. They are a bit bulky on the one end, and dont fit great with reflectors on. It has a nice spring action and feels secure, but be careful on the type of bike, depending on the frame (especially kids bikes) it may not fit as well as it should.
Works Great! July 28, 2008 R. Reynoso (Sacramento, CA) Bought these to use with a Bell Bike rack. They work perfectly. The 3 girl's bikes were steady as a rock on a 350 mile trip. Easy on and easy off, too. Great product.
