Amazon.com Product Description A children's bike trailer is great when you're on the move, but what happens once you arrive at the grocery store? With a normal trailer you'd just park it outside, but with the Schwinn Trailblazer, you can convert it into a handy stroller and bring your kids inside. The Trailblazer sports a durable, lightweight aluminum frame that provides space for up to two children, along with a zippered weather shield that protects them from rain, wind, and other inclement weather. The trailer is designed for quick, tool-free conversion, with a universal trailer coupler that attaches to most bikes and a flip-out front wheel and handlebar for the stroller. It's easy to use, fun, and versatile. Other details include 20-inch, smooth-rolling wheels with a quick-release design for easy storage; a rear storage area for extra items; and a screened canopy for ventilation. The Trailblazer measures 35 by 33 by 31 inches (W x H x D) when assembled and offers a maximum weight limit of 100 pounds. About Schwinn Founded in 1895, Schwinn is an American icon that has been synonymous with quality and innovation. A great bike trailer. We have no complaints. September 4, 2008 T. Holm (VERMONT United States) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
We have had this trailer for about 6 weeks and have had no problems with it. We assembled it without complaint and the kids have loved every ride in it. This trailer has a soft sling seat. We debated paying more for a trailer with a hard seat but glad we did not. Our kids are 5 1/2 and 3 1/2 so they can keep themselves upright. They have not complained about the seat at all or fought about squishing into each other. When we looked up this trailer online to compare it to the InStep version we were considering, it was on the InStep website . . . Makes me think the Schwinn version is made by InStep also (?). We bought it when it was $124 (not sure why the price fluctuates so much) - a super great deal at $124! We have not yet used it as a stand-alone stroller and have not tried to collapse it for transport or storage so I can not comment on those features/functions.
Good Quality August 27, 2008 Daniel Boubet 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
For the money it is a very good product and very easy to assemble. Only cons would be that it is a bit small to accomodate 2 childrens, at least mine's (3.5 year boy and 1.2 year daughter). besides that it is very good and lite to pull.
Good Bike Trailer but not great Stroller August 5, 2008 R. Marion (Omaha, Nebraska) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
The trailer was fairly easy to put together and attach to the bike. I was disappointed to realize that the handlebars and stroller wheel have to be carried separately when using the trailer. I thought they attached then folded out of the way but they don't. The harness system did take a few tries to get adjusted so it would hold my 9 month old son somewhat comfortably. It helps to tighten the front straps under the sling seat but not tighten the back strap as much. The shoulder straps sit kind of high on my son's neck near his ears but not to the point that it seems to bother him. There is no head recess to allow room for my son's helmet when biking. The inside pockets/drink holders are a nice feature for older children. The trailer is easy to pull when I am biking - the extra weight is barely noticeable especially on flat surfaces. I also enjoy inline skating but don't recommend this model for that or jogging. The stroller wheel does not roll very smoothly or as fast as I would like and the assemble rattles a lot when going a good pace. I had to keep lifting the wheel up to enjoy the outing. (I did order the Mark III for skating and it rolls smoothly in the stroller mode but I was disappointed with the quality for the higher price.) The trailblazer is a good trailer for the price if you don't plan to use the stroller feature very often.
Schwinn Trailblazer Bike Trailer June 12, 2008 Charles CChen (Kokomo, Indiana) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
I bought this trailer for my son. He and his wife are avid bikers. They are very satified with the stability of this trailer, the ease of converting to a stroller and how easy it is to stow in their cars. When he was assembling the trailer, his 15 months old son sensed that its for him, so he climbed into the cabin. That makes me a happy grandfather.
Great trailer! May 27, 2008 K. Kelly (Skippack, PA USA) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
This is a great bike trailer! My daughter is very comfortable in it and it seems to provide a smooth ride for her. It connects to the bike very easily and you barely notice that it's even behind you when you are riding along.
